Bartosz Soćko is a notable Polish chess Grandmaster, who was awarded the title by FIDE in 1999. He was born on November 10, 1978, in Ostrów Wielkopolski, Poland. Soćko was awarded the title of International Master in 1995 and achieved his Grandmaster title four years later.
His career includes several significant achievements, such as winning the Polish Chess Championship in 2004 and 2008. He also earned the title of European Blitz Chess Champion in 2006. Soćko represented Poland several times in the Chess Olympiads and the European Team Chess Championships. He additionally won the international tournament in Bad Wörishofen in 2001 and 2005.
He is also a chess coach and was appointed as a coach of the Polish women's national team in 2013. He is married to a fellow chess Grandmaster, Monika Soćko.
