Oleksandr Sulypa is a Ukrainian chess player who holds the title of Grandmaster, which he achieved in 1996. He was born on June 6, 1968, in Ukraine. He has played for Ukraine in various chess team competitions, including the 1998 Chess Olympiad where his team won gold, and the 2001 European Team Chess Championship where the team won silver.


Throughout his chess career, he has gained numerous achievements. He has won the Ukrainian Chess Championship in 2005, and placed third in the Ukrainian Chess Championship in 1998. He has also competed in various international tournaments including the FIDE World Chess Championship in 2004 and the European Chess Club Cup in 2007.


Sulypa also works as a chess trainer. In 2009, he was awarded the title of FIDE Senior Trainer, and in 2016 he achieved the title of FIDE Trainer.


His peak ranking so far is 2605 Elo, which he achieved in October 1999. His chess player code is 14102542, and his current federation is Ukraine.


Aside from his competitive career, Sulypa also contributes to the chess world as an author, with several publications to his name, including books on game analysis and chess techniques.
