Moussa Taleb is a French chess player who was awarded the title of International Master by FIDE in 1985. He was born on April 11, 1964 in Oran, Algeria and moved to France when he was young. In 1986, he won the Paris City Chess Championship. He was also a member of the French team that played in the Chess Olympiad in 1984 and 1992.


Taleb is a three-time Champion of Paris (1987, 1989, 1993) and Champion of France in rapid chess in 1993. In the 1993 French Rapid Chess Championship, he defeated grandmasters such as Joel Lautier and Bachar Kouatly.


In addition, Taleb is a chess coach and has trained several successful players, such as International Master Manuel Apicella and Woman Grandmaster Almira Skripchenko.
