Bryce Tiglon is an American chess player who achieved the title of International Master in 2019 and Grandmaster in 2021. He was born on May 3, 2003 and is from Bellevue, Washington. Tiglon won the Washington State Elementary chess Championship in 2013 and achieved a perfect 7-0 score. The same year, he won the Under-10 Open section of the annual National Youth Action Championship. In 2015, he won the 8th grade national championship. Tiglon also competes internationally; he played for Team USA at the 2017 World Youth Chess Championship in Montevideo, Uruguay and the 2019 World Junior Chess Championship in New Delhi, India. He won the Washington Open in 2019 and immediately afterward achieved the International Master title. In 2021, at age 18, he became a Grandmaster. He's also been awarded the David Collyer Memorial twice, in 2019 and 2021. Tiglon graduated from Lakeside School in Seattle and went on to attend Princeton University.
