Viacheslav Tilicheev is a Russian chess grandmaster who was born on 31 May 2001. He was awarded the International Master title in 2018 and the Grandmaster title in 2020 by the International Chess Federation FIDE. He has had multiple achievements in chess. In 2016, Tilicheev won bronze at the Russian Under 16 Championship and in 2017, he won silver at the European Youth Chess Championship in the U16 group.



In terms of his playing style, Tilicheev has been noted for his aggressive approach and his ability to take advantage of his opponents' mistakes. He frequently uses the Sicilian Defence in his games.


In 2019, Tilicheev participated in the Moscow Open and managed to reach the semi-finals, where he lost to eventual winner Maksim Chigaev. Despite this loss, Tilicheev showed great potential and skill throughout the tournament.


Outside of his chess career, Tilicheev is also a student at the Russian State Social University.
