Maksim Tsaruk is a Belarusian chess grandmaster. He won the Belarusian Chess Championship in January 2022 with 8/11, half a point clear of the field, and took the under-20 open title at the FIDE World School Rapid Championship in August 2024.

In August 2025 he tied for first at the Abu Dhabi Masters with Denis Lazavik, Arkadij Naiditsch, Zeng Chongsheng and Aleksey Grebnev, placing fifth on tiebreaks - form that carried him to the Grandmaster title the same year.
