Aleksandr Volodin is an Estonian chess player who received the title of grandmaster in 2017. He was born on July 19, 1998 in Kohtla-Järve, Estonia. Volodin has participated in numerous chess tournaments, both nationally and internationally.
In 2017, Volodin claimed a victory in the Estonian National Chess Championship. He has also represented his country in several European Universities Chess Championships (in 2016 and 2017), and in World Universities Championships (in 2018).
Other notable achievements of Aleksandr Volodin include his performance at the 2017 World Junior Chess Championship in Italy, where he achieved a top-ten finish, and the 42nd Chess Olympiad in Baku, where he played with the Estonian team. He has also participated in the 3rd Kolkata Open, where he tied for the first place but eventually took the second prize on tiebreak.
