GM Xu Yi

Xu Yi is a Chinese chess player who was awarded the title of Grandmaster by Fédération Internationale des Échecs (FIDE), the international chess federation, in 2019. She was born in 2000 in Chongqing, China. Xu became a Woman FIDE Master in 2013, a Woman International Master in 2014 and a Woman Grandmaster in 2016, before becoming a full-fledged Grandmaster in 2019. She has achieved a number of significant victories throughout her career, including winning the Asian Youth Girls Chess Championship in 2012, and the World Youth Girls Chess Championship in the Under-14 category in 2014.
