Xue Haowen is a Chinese chess grandmaster, born in 2008, who was beating grandmasters before he held any FIDE title at all - most famously upsetting Hans Niemann with the black pieces at the 2023 Dubai Open as an untitled player.

He represented the host Shenzhen team at the 2021 FIDE Online Olympiad, and in August 2023 anchored board one for China at the World Youth U16 Olympiad in Eindhoven, scoring an unbeaten 7/9 as his team took gold. The Grandmaster title followed in 2025.
