Nodirbek Yakubboev is a chess grandmaster from Uzbekistan. Born on 16 March 2002, he received his Grandmaster title in 2018 from FIDE, the international chess federation. This made him the youngest Uzbek chess Grandmaster at the time at the age of 16.


Yakubboev participated in several notable chess competitions. In 2018, he played in the XLVII Rilton Cup in Stockholm, finishing third with notable victories. He also participated in the 2018 Isle of Man International Tournament.


In 2019, at the Asian Junior Chess Championship, he emerged champion, earning the right to play in the 2020 Chess World Cup. In that same year, he took part in the World Junior Chess Championship, finishing 5th.


Apart from his Grandmaster title, Yakubboev has an International Master title as well. He gained this title in 2018, before getting his Grandmaster title. He also became the Uzbekistan Chess Champion in 2020 by winning the Uzbekistan Chess Championship.


Additionally, Yakubboev has represented Uzbekistan internationally. He joined the Uzbekistan national team for the World Team Chess Championship in Astana, Kazakhstan in 2019, finishing 5th in the team circle.
