Sergei Alexandrovich Yudin is a Russian chess Grandmaster. Born on January 10, 1986 in Dzerzhinsk, Russia, he holds the title of Grandmaster, the highest title a chess player can attain, which was awarded to him by FIDE (Fédération Internationale des Échecs) in 2009.


Yudin's impressive chess career includes winning the 2008 Under-18 European Individual Youth Chess Championship (Boys), held in Herceg Novi, Montenegro. He also won the Vasylyshyn Memorial tournament in 2008 and 2010.


Yudin has participated in the Chess World Cup on multiple occasions, reaching the second round in 2011 and the third round in 2013. Additionally, his performances in national team competitions include playing for the Russian team in the World Youth U26 Team Chess Championship in 2006 in Yerevan, Armenia, where the team finished in second place.


He has also appeared in Russia's domestic team competition, the Russian Team Chess Championship, as part of successful teams including "Universitet" Belorechensk and "SHSM-64" Moscow.
