Pablo Zarnicki is a chess International Grandmaster (GM) from Argentina. Born on August 12, 1972, he was awarded the GM title in 1994. He was the Argentine Chess Champion in 2001 and the World Junior Chess Champion in 1992. He also represented Argentina in six Chess Olympiads, from 1992 to 2004.


Zarnicki competed in several major international chess tournaments. He was a bronze medalist at the 1990 World Junior Chess Championship in Singapore, finished first in the 1992 Mar del Plata tournament, and won the Albacete tournament in 1994.


Aside from being a player, Zarnicki is also a chess writer and has authored several articles and books on the subject. He is considered one of the top Argentine chess players of his generation.
