Ivan Zemlyanskii is a Russian chess grandmaster, born on August 31, 2010. In May 2024 he scored his final Grandmaster norm in the eighth round of the Sharjah Masters, becoming the youngest grandmaster in Russian history, and finished the event in style by defeating Leon Luke Mendonca in the last round.

When the title was finalised in August 2024 he was the second-youngest grandmaster in the world. Earlier that summer he had also finished second in the under-13 section of the ChessKid Youth Championship - a reminder of quite how young Russia's newest grandmaster still is.
