Zhou Jianchao (born March 11, 1988) is a Chinese chess Grandmaster and one of China's top chess players. Born in Shanghai, he earned the title of Grandmaster in 2006, and in the same year, he won the Under 20 section of the Chinese Youth Chess Tournament. Zhou has achieved notable success in team competitions, representing his country in the Chess Olympiad, World Team Chess Championship, and the Asian Team Chess Championship.
Throughout his career, Zhou has produced several standout performances in both national and international competitions. He won the Chinese Chess Championship in 2008 and achieved second place in both the Asian Continental Chess Championship and the Aeroflot Open Group A in 2010. His highest ever world ranking was 63, which he reached in November 2010.
Zhou Jianchao's playing style is noted for its creativity and depth. In addition to his tournament play, he has contributed to the development of chess in China through coaching and mentorship.
