Dov Zifroni is an Israeli chess player who was awarded the titles of International Master (IM) and International Arbiter (IA) by FIDE, the international chess federation. He represented Israel in the World Chess Olympiad nine times between 1996 and 2014, serving twice as captain of the national team. Zifroni has earned a number of tournament victories, including the Israeli Junior Chess Championship, the Bar-Ilan University championship, and the Cup of Israel. In addition to his competitive achievements, he has also published a book on chess, given lectures and participated in educational activities. Born in 1974, Zifroni graduated from Tel Aviv University with a degree in Economics and Computer Science. He has been married since 2003 and has three children.
