My name is Peter and I am a history teacher in Košice, Slovakia.
I have liked chess since childhood, but I did not have the opportunity to play chess and there was no chess club nearby. It was only after my university studies that I started playing chess with my colleague when we met for a beer.
I have never paid attention to chess theory or history, I hate openings and I have resigned myself to remembering them (so you can easily take an advantage in our games 🙂. I play for fun and only then can I enjoy it.
I like to play against gentlemen and I have met many of them here on this platform.
I play by the rules - no help from chess engines, not even for openings. I claim time-out wins (unless you tell me you need more time) and I encourage you to do the same in our games, just to make this beautiful game as real as possible. Let us enjoy it!
