I got seriously into chess in 2003 after an alternative triathlon (fencing, drinking & chess). I'm a fencing coach and often describe fencing to my students as physical chess. I use my fencing tactics on the chess board and vica versa.
Tournament Entry Rating is calculated by the formula (CurrentRating + HighestRating) / 2. The entry rating will never drop to more than 100 points below your Highest Rating.
