I'm no longer playing correspondence games on here. Or intending to use this site much more until further notice. I'd like to thank the (mostly) wonderful users on this site who made my great online experiences here possible.

I do advise others to be wary of who they deal with on here. Most internet chess players are at least reasonable. Many are polite and civil. But a small percentage, unfortunately, are beyond troll-ish. Case in point:

These took 580 and 644+ days (well over a year!) to complete because in both games, the opponent needlessly insisted on:
1.) taking 21 days to make all but one move, despite repeated requests to do otherwise
2.) utilizing his entire 21 days of timebank merely to delay being timed out, once it became obvious he was facing checkmate in 1
3.) using vacation time to further delay the inevitable in the latter game.

In other words, I advise others to avoid users like this -ones with utterly no regard for the precepts of good sportsmanship- if they actually want to enjoy playing chess on here. Good sportsmanship is the only thing that allows chess to be an enjoyable pastime and not just some bitter clash of egos.
