Chess Friends,
This is John. I started playing chess when I was 7 years old, and got addicted to it thru my high school / college years including Fischer fever during the 70s. Attended USCF tournaments in my 20s/30/s, but career/ family responsibilities took precedence, and Fischer fever died. Following my dear wife's passing in 2004, I started playing again and discovered RHP in 2005. It all came back to me! I like fast games. I tend to lose interest in games that drag on. I will time out! I usually move daily, sometimes multiple moves per day.
I love my children: 3 adults and 4 grandchildren. I am passionate about football - pro / college, travel, gourmet food, and learning new things / meeting interesting people, and of course chess!.
So, be happy, enjoy your life, family, nature, and chess. Take this advice from Capablanca: If you see a move you like, play it! Recall Siegbert Tarrasch's famous quote: "Chess, like love, like music, has the power to make men happy!" Finally, Albert Einstein said: "Nothing happens until something happens!!" and JFK: "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country!"
Sincerely, John/Jtab
