MOST OF THE PLAYERS THAT I PLAY ON HERE ARE PRETTY PROFICIENT BUT I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY SOME INSIST ON PLAYING TO THE END EVEN WHEN THEY FACE A FORCED MATE IN 1 OR 2 MOVES.!!!
Does it really take 21 days to know that you are facing a mate in 1..? Here are 2 examples by Richard Head I and Richard Head II (DICK to their friends!)
Game 8631944 Game 8631979
Someone with a rating of 400 could be excused but players(???) who are 1400+ should know better..!!!
Here is a contender for Richard III. Almost 1500 can't even see in 21 days that he's about to go 2 rooks and a host of pawns down.
Game 8631986
Just realised that DICK III (=DICK II) is going for a second coronation..!! This guy is 'EXTRACTING the URINE' There should be an adjudication button so that people do not have to play out games against tw@s like this. Players who abuse completely lost positions should have to enrol in a chess etiquette course before they are allowed to play any more games...!!!
WNKRs - M Ceillier (A king in waiting. 73% of games decided by timeout - avoid this one if you want to play chess..!!)
Enough of a rant here is a little about me
Looking to rub the rust off my repertoire. Haven't played much over the board over the last few years and my grade is c. 1950 and falling rapidly (2032 FIDE). My highest over the board grade was 2167 (FIDE).
I'm happy to discuss openings after the game and I'm also happy to give tips to weaker players.
I don't want to be condescending so I will only offer advice if you ask
I play slow tedious openings as white but I tend to play some dodgy gambits with black that I've often had more than 30 years experience of playing over the board. So although I'm often in a bad position as black the positions often contain some venom for the unwary.
