I'm Michael living in Zürich, Switzerland;
turned 30 last year and restarted playing chess about half a year ago.

Regarding timeouts I basically have the same opinion,
than most of you:
- Whenever I have the chance to remind you, I do so
- If you don't move and have no vacation flag raised, I'll take the timeout
- Vacation settings will always be respected when the date of return is given
