I learnt to play when I was young, and was a member of a chess club at college, but had not played much until being introduced to this site. I will take timeouts even if the vacation flag is up, unless you say when you will return. I do not use chess engines to play my games for me, I sometimes use books or the Internet to check on openings.
Tournament Entry Rating is calculated by the formula (CurrentRating + HighestRating) / 2. The entry rating will never drop to more than 100 points below your Highest Rating.
Rated stats are updated within 24 hours of the last completed rated game.
