Hi there, I'm a software developer surviving in Southern California, barely. I was a member here from long time ago and recently came back to sharpen my wits and challenge my brain a little more than it already is. that said, I hope to challenge those who are so way out of my league and provide a good whooping to those who aren't. I play to win, even if it is really apparent that I'm going to lose, and will usually play till the bitter end, but if you feel it's not worth the time, just show me where you see mate and I'll happily secede. Sometimes people get cocky and will blunder a move....that's all I'm probably hoping for in most cases.
I will take timeout skulls too, but i'll give reasonable time to move, but abandon ship or take way too long, and I will take it.
I try not to watch the ratings. I'm averaging in the 1200 to 1300 range, but I perhaps got lucky and won an individual with a 1900. I like to think I can see what's coming at me at most times, but will find it difficult to have my pieces already in place to counter well thought out attacks...but that is what I love about chess! Every game is a learning opportunity for me, and I feel every game has something to offer.
