What is Colorbound?

Colorbound is a term used in chess to describe a piece that is restricted to squares of a certain color, as a result of its positioning or movement limitations. This typically applies to bishops, which can only move diagonally and therefore only reach squares of a particular color, but it can also apply to other pieces under certain game conditions. This limitation can influence a player's strategy and the relative power of pieces on the board.
