Cramped

The term cramped refers to a situation where a player's pieces have limited mobility and freedom of movement due to the position of their opponent's pieces or even their own pieces on the board. This can occur as a result of poor positioning, specific strategies employed by the opponent, or a lack of available safe squares for a player's pieces. A cramped position is often undesirable as it limits a player's tactical options and could potentially leave them vulnerable to attack.
