Chess Terms : Fischer Delay Explained
Fischer Delay is a time control method in chess, named after world chess champion Bobby Fischer. This system adds a certain amount of time to a player's clock after each move, providing every player with a specified delay before their main time starts to decrease. This system prevents time scramble by ensuring there's a minimum amount of thinking time for each move, regardless of the remaining time on the clock.
