International Grandmaster

International Grandmaster is a title awarded by the World Chess Federation, also known as Fédération Internationale des Échecs or FIDE, to elite chess players who have demonstrated a high level of skill and expertise in the game. It is the highest title a chess player can achieve, aside from World Champion. Recipients of this title must meet rigorous performance criteria, including a specific number of victories against other grandmasters at FIDE-approved international tournaments.
