Chess Terms : KID Explained
KID is an abbreviation for King's Indian Defense, a common chess opening where a player moves their pawn to d6 and knight to f6 within the first few moves. It is a hypermodern opening that allows Black to play for a win by letting White control the center early then aiming to undermine this center later.
