Chess Terms : Move Explained

Move

A move in chess refers to a player's action of altering the position of a chess piece on the game board according to the rules of the game. It typically involves shifting a piece to a different square, potentially involving capturing an opponent's piece, or making a special move such as castling. One move is completed when the player starts the opponent's clock. Each player alternates in making moves, starting with the player controlling the white pieces.
