Chess Terms : Passer Explained

Passer

A Passer typically refers to a passed pawn, which is a pawn with no opposing pawns to prevent it from advancing to the eighth rank, i.e., there are no opposing pawns in front of it on either the same file or an adjacent one. A passed pawn can be a significant advantage as it has the potential to promote once it reaches the opposing side of the board.
