Skewer

A skewer is a chess tactic where an attack is made on two pieces that are arranged in a line. The attack is usually made by a long-range piece such as a rook, bishop, or queen. The opponent must move their more valuable piece to avoid its capture, thereby exposing the less valuable piece which is then captured.
