Speed Chess

Speed Chess is a type of chess that is characterized by fast time controls compared to typical games. This involves time limits like 5 minutes for each player (blitz chess) or 3 minutes with a 2 second increment for each move (bullet chess). Its purpose is to create a game that is not only determined by skill and strategy but also by the ability to think quickly and manage time efficiently. This variation pushes the players to make decisions under pressure, as running out of time results in an automatic loss, unless the opponent does not have sufficient material to checkmate.
