Chess Terms : Takeback Explained

Takeback

Takeback in chess refers to a practice in informal games where a player is allowed to retract a move that they have made and instead, play a different move. This is usually done upon agreement between both players. It is important to note, however, that takebacks are not permitted in formal or competitive chess games.
