Is a mechanism in place to allow the next season to commence once all games that can have an effect on the current season standings are finished.

If not, how are you planning on preventing the debacle which surrounded the last game of Season 1, with detailed commentary on the game in progress, bullying messages to get the players to finish up, and eventually outside influence to declare the game a draw?

No it isn't, but this will be in place for tournaments 'soon' - and then for clan leagues at a later date.

Russ, if teams from last season do not enter in season II - how do promotions and relegations work and how are the 'vacated' places filled to make up the required numbers?
