Animated avatars have not been permitted at upload for many years, but some have remained from long ago.
They are generally very distracting and we have had concerns expressed about potential epilepsy triggers.
When reported or discovered, they will be removed.
If this impacts you, please choose a non-animated version of your previous avatar and upload that from profile settings. Apologies if you are inconvenienced by this.
