The main purpose of the recent reengineering of the site forums was to provide clan forums.

These are now live.

Some details :

-A clan must have 4 members to create a clan forum.
-A clan forum is unmoderated. Posts cannot be alerted or hidden.
-A clan forum is private. Only clan members can read and post.

Although the clan forums are unmoderated, if any posts are reported to us that are inappropriate (specifically content that may be questionable, legally) we will investigate and remove content/shut down forums.

Clan leaders, create you clan forum from a link under the members list on your clan home page.

Clan members, access a your clan forum from the link in the same place, once the clan forum has been created.

One last comment, do try to make the distinction between your PRIVATE clan forum and the PUBLIC forums when posting content.

Would it be possible to make our clan forums appear in the list of forums at the top of the page?? I have a feeling they may go unused as they're tucked away out of sight...

I'm not sure how to use the forum link. Can you say a little more or am I missing something?

Visit your clan homepage.

As a clan leader, there should now be a link to create a clan forum.

Once created, that link will then allow you to visit the clan forum.

Best addition since I joined the site.

Wait... it's the only one.

Oh well. It's a great thing.

Thanks Russ. I already had a forum for my clan before you implemented this new feature, but I'm sure other clan leaders who have not created private forums previously will be pleased.

So this means that to all intents and purposes the Clan leader is the moderator?
One has now been set up for the Mustangs. Was this the reason the forums were offline for a while the other day?
