Are more sets welcomed? Or is there a very big selection going since the spots are very, very limited? I can see you don't want to offer dozens of set pieces or board styles. Maybe it is nice to have a set piece containing only letters as it is used in the FEN notation? That makes it more easily to handle FEN notation when one is not a native English speaker and that much experienced with the FEN notation like a simpleton like me, and has to think about the letter and the corresponding piece each and every time.

Really, if the sets are designed to spec, it is no effort at all for me to add them (one advantage of the new board code). A piece should be a maximum of 56px*56px. If you have done that, send me a sample, and I can add it if it is any good. Just don't base your design on any copyrighted material.
Adapting the boardskin is a nice feature, but it'd be even nicer if this new board skin would integrate itself better in the whole site. It's just ugly to use the pink board with timeforchess.com...

Hey! I did that set when i was a student (for Rival chess) and for nostalgic reasons alone, it stays! 😛
Even more shocking, it was revealed recently in the help forum after a mix up with that set that PEOPLE ACTUALLY PLAY WITH IT!!!! 😲 (Hard to believe, but true)

So i guess the smiley faced set was one of your masterpeices too?
I am tempted to make a letters set (Q for queen, K for knight, R for rook, et cetera) and submit them. All for easy FEN enjoyment for non native English speakers like myself. And it shouldn't be a lot of work, so Russ can reject the submitted set without shame or pain.
