Outage today

Apologies to all impacted by the outage today. Approx 50 mins in length. It was scheduled, but was intended to be 15 minutes at most 😳.

A data purge took place, which rid the RHP database of some legacy data.

The only noticeable impact of this is:

If you invited someone who never joined the site before 2006, then the invited games will have been removed (along with the invited user.)

Any user back from the dawn of RHP who played Rival Online and never played a human will find their account and game history removed. (That is no one on the site now, so don’t be concerned.)

The purpose of the outage was to improve site peak time performance in the short term while we continue to consider our options on a long term solution.
