I really don't care who made up the number but Don't think 1200 is enough games to play to win ANYTHING.....It seems a few of the leaders and you siding with them want to play less and win something out of it. Optics mean everything as you are well aware.

This is the issue and why perhaps there might be a tiny bit of defensiveness.
The truth is - the Cup idea - a second title - a second competition - actually helps every single clan at Red Hot Pawn except for one.
If we create a Cup in 2026 and say 1200 games is the cup (variable - to be determined) one clan can continue to try the bludgeon the rest of us into submission (as of today the number 1 clan has won more games than the next 3 clans combined) and the rest of us - all the other clans - can compete for a Cup.
If you are saying having all the rest of the clans happy and energized and competing in 2026 will make you consider leaving the best chess website in the world - maybe you want to look at that again. Maybe this is a good thing for the site.

Have you considered another Option BIsh, simply putting some work into the Challenges!!!! Not looking for something you could win. What if Breaking Bad won both then what do you look for another way. 😉

Clans can play as many games as they want. Clans can join the cup or not. The two are not mutually exclusive.
My suggestion is we offer clans a choice to also compete in a second challenge.
One year trial. I find it a little hard to believe that if we do a one-year trial of a new clan idea, it would be bad for Red Hot Pawn.
So far the only thing I have heard as far as it being bad for the site is - you are going to quit. If we offer clans a second competition - you are going to quit and that will have a major impact on the site.
Speaking for my clan - Howl's Moving Castle - that is a chance we are willing to take. We will be fine whether you are here or not.
