The amount of great music this young lady has already produced is amazing, and from such a simple insturment.

Amazing for sure! What is she, 13?
In that first Bach piece, did I hear the piano stutter a bit towards the end?
It looked like it effected the girl some.

I just picked up the recorder again after a decades long absence. I'm not nearly good enough to be on either my space or you tube
Originally posted by bill718The impressive thing about this recording is that she is using a Dolmetsch 205 school's plastic recorder! These are the very basic plastic recorders that all school kids start on, and yet she manages to produce quite a decent sound, though it is rather harsh and shrill - not in the league of a good ebony descant recorder at all. My daughter played that piece when she was 15, but her sound, on a good wooden instrument, is much warmer and mellower.
