ASLAP (John Cage)

Do people not realise how significant today (September 5th) is?
For the first time since 2013, a note in the world’s slowest piece of music is going to change: John Cage’s ASLAP (As Slow As Possible) begun in 2001 with a 17 month rest followed in 2003 by the first chord (A, C, F sharp). Today at 8.35 the 15th chord change will occur (E, G sharp). This has been played continuously at a church in Halberstadt, Germany. It is due to finish in 2071!

I'm sure Cage is being cagey🙂 He knows what it sounds like all together. But I'm also sure the full piece will be played at full speed in 71. Assuming our civilization is still intact by then. Only 51 years away.
