Amazing that so many bagpipes can sound so good!:

Here is a Bulgarian folk song, more modern style, looks like Christmas but there is no english here so don't know what's going on but nice music anyway!

Here is a Bulgarian children's choir doing a Bulgarian Christmas song:

This song is an allegory for when the Turks were killing Bulgarians, they had to change the words to hide the fact from the Turks:

Rec'd!

Nevena was doing a cover of a typical song from the beautiful Rhodope mountains. Here's the (much better, IMO) version that really went on Voyager:

BTW, Lisa Gerrard was such a rip-off from the Bulgarian Folk singers, it's crazy.

Wow, that was simply breathtakingly beautiful, the music and the recap of decades of Voyager! I wonder if there are copies we can get on DVD of that record? I think it has photo's as well as that striking music.

That would be the one. One thing I noticed about the cover was Carl Sagan's name prominently displayed in first place but the record was Ann Druyan's idea.

Didn't know she was on the board of Norml, a position and I fully agree with her on that. Don't get me started on that piece of shyte shameful history of the US.
