Costumes haven't been this good since Barbarella:

I haven’t watched Dune with Sting or the recent remake.
Are either worth the time?

I did watch Barberalla many years ago and remember thinking it was a terrible film with great costumes; especially Jane Fonda’s.

David Lynch's Dune - the film he himself disowns - is still well worth a watching just for the pure madness of it all.

Villeneuve's Dune is incredible (on the big screen). IMAX visit coming up on March 1st for part deux.

Barbarella was Fonda's boyfriend's (Roger Vadim's) male fantasy. She was young and sexy and probably ashamed of that film in retrospect, but it achieved a kind of cult sci-fi status. The costumes were fabulous.
