don't you find japanese cartoons weird?

once I had watched one of them with my nephew, and I found it bizarre.

I didn't say it was necessarialy bad, I said it was weird if compared to western cartoons.

when I was a boy, I used to watch tom and jerry, if compared to these, japanese cartoons are very weird.

Read Karel van Wolferen's "The Enigma Of Japanese Power". Best book of its kind on how Japanese culture, politics and economy actually work.

Sure plenty. l lived there for a few years and visit often.

Things to do depends on your main interests e.g temples vs modern Japan etc. Hotels - try and stay in Ryokan (Japanese style hotels) they are very different from western hotels with tatami floors etc Try onsen at traditional onsen places (many to choose from in most parts of japan.

Leave your pre conceptions at the door, relax and let a wonderful country envelope you.

Be very careful, the Japanese is a different culture, so it's weird, and if it's weird is bad. And bad is dangerous...

Better to remain with the known stuff, because it makes you feel safe, and safety is nice.

Better not to travel at all.

P.S. Watch Tomr & Jerry instead.
