After his period under Almodóvar's direction, I'd say
Mambo Kings is Banderas' only fine hour in acting, and
it is 90% due to Armand Assante's ability to materialize
the Latin Alpha male and, in doing so, framing correctly
the secondary role of the weaker brother.
