midsummer murders tv show

there is a long-running british detective series called "midsummer murders" ( showing on acorntv ). in almost every episode the detectives let themselves
into a private house without a warrant.

this is not legal. they just walk in to look around in private homes and apartments.

so much for tv detectives.
