Good News for People Who Love Bad News, and then a slow decline in quality after that. Some ok songs but nothing outstanding imo. If i'm going to listen to this kind of music, i'll stick with the pixies.

I must say though, i like how he sounds like Mick Jagger...Stones mixed with the pixies are a nice combo.

You need to go back into their catalogue further before proclaiming one and done. They have probably about 10 releases (LPs and EPs) before Good News....

The Moon and Antarctica (Their first release on Sony) and The Lonesome Crowded West are good places to start.

delete the vocal track when you listen to modest mouse. You don't hear the music of the pixies in there?
