Percevil or Parsifal?

I was wondering has anyone studied these works and can recommend a version. Richard Wagner's play appeared on screen in 1984 I believe - at heavy chagrin from the producer's assumed socialism attributes. An earlier work translated to the medium, called by the slightly different name, also attempts to bring this period to life theatrically.
