I've got this great idea that you and I could roll a fruit stand.

Or maybe you and I can stay in bed all day and just TALK.

It's up to you, you know I've only known you a minute or two.

Or maybe there is something that you've always wanted to do...

    It's up to you.

Hey, that's a waste of Good beer; pour water over my head... if I offended you.

There's sober people in Ireland who wouldn't appreciate that

    What's wrong with you?

I went to plan-B, I opened my notes it read, "Call YOU". That's what I do.

An hour later after a similar conversation here's what you do:

YOU DUMP YOUR BEAR ALL OVER ME!~

OK Phil, I'm here, I've been working on a Holiday (Christmas) CD, maybe I'll upload something from that, some of it is intended for kids, but I also have some nice guitar duets that are instrumental with a bit of soloing but not too out there. By no means am I disrespecting anyone else's religious holiday, I just don't know how else to refer to my project besides it being Christmas music.

I got this gig where I play on a moving, old time train, they call it the Santa Express, and I stroll and play holiday music, mostly fun stuff, I use the banjo because it just works so well on the train, anyway, got the idea for doing a CD and selling it while I'm playing. Starts after Thanksgiving, so I'm right in the middle of getting everything done.

That's beautiful. What kind of giutar is that? Some kind of semi acoustic Gibson?

Mmmmm. Nice. A little out of my price range though. I'm thinking that also you'd need a tasty amp to do it justice.

Nice job Scribbs, The sound is great. Is that an archtop, like the Benson model, or semi-hollow like a 335? We fondly call that tune " In a Cemetery Nude"

It is the GB-10 Benson model. I often call the tune "I'm a Sentimental Jew."

Looking forward to it... no problem with kids music, I've got a 4 and 1 year-old.

Here are some compositions from a real musician, who frequents the site, but is perhaps too modest to post his own, FMF.

the first is entitled The thunes and has a very wonderful 'airy', feel, mixed with a little eastern mysticism and some rather beautiful guitar tones.

    here is the link: http://www.humyo.com/F/1308699-1773612957

the second is entitled, Paper sunshine and has a wonderful riff, some rather lyrical piano rather reminiscent of Swedish pianist Jan Johansson intermingled with some rather 'earthy' guitar.

    hope you enjoy,

regards to Fmf for the enjoyment that listening to these tracks has brought. 🙂

Why thank you robbie. Your kind words have made me shed my inertia enhancing shrinking violet fluffy slippers and don my Musician Underpants on the outside of my slacks.

FMF is Plöp and most of his ouevre is to be found here: http://musicofplop.blogspot.com/

The "songs only - no instrumentals" compilation 'All Mouth And No Pants' offers 20 or so tunes in 128 kbps, with the lyrics posted to the blog, may be a starting point (or, indeed, finishing point).

Here are a few selections other than those that robbie has mentioned

About a friend's divorce, sung/arranged by the friend who got divorced:

All decidedly homemade & lo-fi, of course.

    Modest Mouse meets Lloyd Cole.

    Excellent.

Would other RHP posters be allowed to record cover versions of each others tunes for this thread?

    🙂
