You were a brilliant pianist and composer and a hell of a lot of fun to listen to.

I've long had a soft spot for Jones, who never seemed to get his due. For the last couple of weeks I've been listening to "The Oracle" (Dave Holland, bass and Billy Higgins, drums) which is my favorite album with him as a leader.

He appeared on a number of classic albums including:

Charlie Parker "Now's the Time"
Coleman Hawkins "The Hawk Files High"
Ben Webster / Harry Edison "Ben and Sweets"
Cannonball Adderley "Somethin' Else"
Roland Kirk "We Free Kings"
Warne Marsh "Star Highs"
